The Smartest Way to Protect Your Paint and Keep It Looking New

For drivers across Concord and Contra Costa County, ceramic coating is the most effective way to shield your vehicle’s paint from UV fading, road grime, water spotting, and the daily wear of Bay Area commuting. A professionally applied coating bonds to your paint at the molecular level, creating a slick, glossy barrier that keeps your vehicle looking newer for longer.

At Tru-Tints, we install the full XPEL FUSION PLUS ceramic coating lineup, a professional-grade system engineered to resist environmental contaminants, insect acids, oxidation, and light scratching. Whether your vehicle faces brake dust and stop-and-go traffic on I-680 or sun exposure along the Highway 4 corridor, FUSION PLUS keeps the finish protected and easy to clean.

As an XPEL Certified Specialist, our team applies the same precision and surface preparation discipline that has made Tru-Tints the trusted film installer for Concord, Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, and the surrounding East Bay communities.

Solving Everyday Paint Problems with XPEL FUSION PLUS

Our ceramic coating installations address the most common finish problems Bay Area vehicle owners deal with:

Enhanced Paint Protection

FUSION PLUS seals painted surfaces against environmental contaminants, insect acids, bird droppings, and oxidation while adding resistance to light scratches and fading. Your clear coat stays protected through every season.

Hydrophobic, Self-Cleaning Properties

The coating’s hydrophobic surface causes water to bead tightly and shed quickly, carrying dirt with it. Dust and grime have a harder time sticking, which means faster washes and a cleaner car between them.

Deeper Gloss and Color Depth

FUSION PLUS increases color depth and leaves paint with a smooth, slick, high-gloss finish. Dark colors look richer, metallics pop, and the entire vehicle takes on a just-detailed appearance that lasts.

UV and Chemical Resistance

Concord’s long, sunny summers are hard on paint. FUSION PLUS resists UV damage, stains, and chemical etching from pollutants, tree sap, and road salts, preventing the dulling and discoloration that unprotected finishes develop over time.

Long-Term, Warranty-Backed Durability

With protection tiers ranging from one year to eight years, you can match the coating to how long you plan to keep your vehicle, all backed by XPEL manufacturer warranties.

Choose the Right XPEL FUSION PLUS Coating for Your Vehicle

Every vehicle and owner is different. We will help you select the right level of protection based on how you drive, where you park, and how long you plan to keep your vehicle.

Coating Protection Term Best For
XPEL FUSION PLUS LITE 1 year Leased vehicles and owners who want professional protection with a shorter commitment
XPEL FUSION PLUS 4 years Daily drivers who want durable, warranty-backed protection and easier maintenance
XPEL FUSION PLUS PREMIUM V2 8 years Long-term ownership, maximum durability, deeper gloss, and the strongest chemical resistance
Full-Vehicle Coating Package Varies by surface Comprehensive protection across paint, wheels, glass, plastic trim, and interior surfaces

Ceramic Coating Add-Ons Beyond Painted Surfaces

XPEL’s coating lineup extends well past paint. We can protect nearly every exterior and interior surface on your vehicle:

Surface What the Coating Does
Wheels and Calipers Resists brake dust buildup, road grime, and corrosion, making wheels dramatically easier to clean
Glass Repels water and dirt for improved wet-weather visibility and easier window cleaning
Plastic Trim Prevents UV-induced drying, chalking, and fading on black and satin exterior plastics
Interior Fabric, Leather, and Vinyl Adds spill and stain resistance so everyday messes wipe away instead of soaking in
Headlights and Taillights Guards against UV clouding and water spotting to keep lenses clear

Why Choose Tru-Tints for Ceramic Coating in Concord?

Tru-Tints is Concord’s trusted surface protection specialist, located at 1281 Franquette Ave, Suite B and serving Walnut Creek, Pleasant Hill, Martinez, Antioch, Pittsburg, and the wider Contra Costa County area.

Ceramic coating results depend on preparation, and preparation is where we separate ourselves. Every installation starts with full decontamination and paint assessment so the coating bonds to a clean, corrected surface rather than sealing in swirls and contaminants.

Because FUSION PLUS is a professional-only product applied exclusively by trained installers, you get a level of durability and finish quality that over-the-counter sprays and sealants cannot match. And because we also install automotive window tinting and windshield protection film, we can protect your entire vehicle, inside and out, in a single visit.

Our Ceramic Coating Application Process

    1. Inspection and decontamination. We begin with a thorough paint inspection, a full hand wash, and clay bar treatment to remove embedded contaminants from every panel.
    2. Paint correction. Newer vehicles typically receive a single-stage polish to remove light swirls. Vehicles with deeper imperfections or higher mileage receive a more intensive multi-stage correction so the coating locks in a flawless finish.
    3. Coating application. Each panel is prepped with a residue-removing solution, then the coating is applied with precision. The product and number of layers depend on the protection tier you select.
    4. Curing and follow-up. The coating needs a minimum of 24 hours to cure before the vehicle returns to the road, and we recommend avoiding washing for two weeks while it reaches full hardness. We then provide a complimentary follow-up inspection to verify proper curing.

Ceramic Coating Warranty and Expertise

Every XPEL FUSION PLUS installation at Tru-Tints is backed by a manufacturer-supported warranty, with coverage terms of up to eight years depending on the coating you choose.

FUSION PLUS is also fully compatible with XPEL paint protection film, so vehicles with existing PPF can be coated for added gloss and easier maintenance. EV owners in particular pair coating with our Tesla and Rivian window tinting for complete protection in one appointment.

FAQ: Ceramic Coating and Ceramic Tint in Concord

How long does XPEL FUSION PLUS ceramic coating last?

It depends on the tier you choose. FUSION PLUS LITE protects for about one year, standard FUSION PLUS carries a four-year warranty, and FUSION PLUS PREMIUM V2 is warrantied for eight years. With proper care, including pH-neutral washes and avoiding abrasive polishes, each coating performs to the full length of its coverage.

Is ceramic coating the same as ceramic window tint?

No. Ceramic coating is a liquid-applied protective layer for your paint, while ceramic window tint, like XPEL PRIME XR and PRIME XR PLUS, is a film installed on your glass to reject heat and UV rays. Tru-Tints installs both, so you can protect your paint and your cabin in the same visit. Learn more on our automotive window tinting page and on our Automotive Ceramic Coating Explained page.

Can ceramic coating be applied over paint protection film?

Yes. FUSION PLUS was developed specifically to bond with both painted surfaces and XPEL paint protection films. Coating your PPF adds hydrophobic protection and gloss while making the film easier to keep clean.

How should I care for my vehicle after the coating is applied?

Allow 24 hours before driving in wet conditions and avoid washing the vehicle for two weeks while the coating fully cures. After that, regular hand washes with a pH-neutral soap are all it needs. Skip the wax: the coating already delivers more gloss and protection than any wax can add.
