What’s so special about ceramic tint? (XPEL XR AND XR PLUS)

It could get confusing trying to navigate the different types of tint/film around the market. There are color-stable films, carbon films, ceramic films, nano-ceramic, and probably many more types that I haven't heard of myself! As simple as I can put it, one distinct feature sets each tier of the XPEL tints/films apart: heat reduction. The XPEL Prime XR blocks around 83-85% of heat while the XPEL Prime XR PLUS blocks around 97-99% of heat. They both do a tremendous job keeping your car cool and comfortable during all seasons of the year, especially summer! I have a heat-lamp demonstration that simulates heat reduction firsthand!

Is window tint applied on the outside of the car?

Window tint is applied on the inside of the car! You may have seen some videos that initially placed it on the outside of the car before applying the tint inside the car; this is normal! The tint starts as a flat surface and must be shrunk/shaped on the outside before it is applied inside to prevent fingers. If tinters didn't do that, it would be similar to trying to wrap one piece of paper around a map globe; it would have air pockets everywhere!
