Protect Your Windshield Investment with XPEL Film

Concord drivers put their windshields through a lot. The daily grind on I-680 and Highway 4 means chips aren’t a matter of if, but when. Tru-Tints brings its precision film installation expertise to windshield protection for drivers who want to stay ahead of costly repairs. Unlike a windshield replacement, which can run $800–$2,000+ on modern vehicles with built-in sensors and cameras, our Windshield PPF uses advanced XPEL film to provide a clear, durable barrier that absorbs impact before it ever reaches your glass. We protect your windshield without changing its appearance, without affecting your visibility, and without voiding your vehicle warranty so you can drive with confidence every day.

XPEL Windshield Protection Film on Vehicle — Concord, CA

Essential Benefits for Concord Drivers

Windshield PPF is a smart, cost-effective upgrade that directly addresses the hazards every driver faces on Bay Area roads:

Rock Chip & Crack Protection

The film absorbs the impact of road debris, rocks, gravel, and loose pavement before it reaches your glass. A chip that would have cracked your windshield stops at the film instead.

Sand Pitting Defense

The back roads through the Diablo foothills and along Treat Boulevard see more loose gravel than most streets. The film takes that damage, so your glass doesn’t.

Removable & Replaceable

If the film takes significant damage, it can be cleanly removed and replaced without harming the glass underneath.

Self-Healing Technology

Minor scratches and swirl marks disappear on their own when exposed to heat from sunlight or a heat gun. The film repairs itself so your windshield stays looking clean.

Crystal-Clear Optical Clarity

XPEL Windshield PPF is completely transparent with zero visual distortion. Once installed, you won’t know it’s there until it saves your windshield.

FAQ: XPEL Windshield Protection Film at Tru-Tints in Concord

Is windshield protection film the same as window tint?

They’re two completely different products. Window tint changes the shade of your glass and is installed on the inside. Windshield protection film is completely clear, sits on the outside, and is engineered specifically to absorb impact from road debris.

It doesn’t darken your windshield at all; you won’t notice any change in appearance or visibility. That said, you can absolutely have both on the same vehicle, and we offer a 10% discount when you bundle windshield PPF with a windshield tint at the same appointment.

Will the film affect my visibility while driving?

Not at all. XPEL Windshield Protection Film is optically clear with zero distortion. It’s designed to be invisible under normal driving conditions, you likely won’t even notice it’s there. The hydrophobic coating on the film actually improves wet-weather visibility by causing rainwater to bead up and roll off the surface more effectively than unprotected glass.

Do I need new wiper blades after installation?

We recommend bringing a fresh set of silicone wiper blades to your appointment. We’ll swap them out for you at no extra charge. The hydrophobic surface of the film works best with new blades. Old or worn blades can sometimes cause juddering on the film, which is one of the early complaints about windshield PPF that we’ve addressed as part of our installation process. New silicone blades solve this completely.
